Every wall space is different, and its tiling should be too. Whether it's a new build or renovating your luxury home bathroom, kitchen, or outdoor, it’s important to work with a tiler who understands your wall surfaces and has the right skills for the job.
At Unique Tiling Concepts, we complete your projects with precision workmanship without compromising on style. As tilers with decades of experience in Melbourne homes, we follow a simple 4-step process to ensure that your wall tiles look good and last for years.
We deliver quality and timely results, no matter the project type. See our projects and solutions for different clients.

In a recent wall project, we installed a Herringbone wall tiling feature inside a large residential bathroom. Our team used tools such as the triangle square, two separate lasers, and the Ardex mastic to measure a 2mm space with levelling to keep things precise.
Additionally, we used a tape measure to locate the wall's centre and work our way around the wall. Our team also adjusts the lasers every two or three rows to ensure we are perfectly levelled and centred. This top-notch technique allowed us to ensure the same pieces were placed on all sides of the wall.

In our experience, 90% of walls do not have a straight surface, so doing a levelling check will help us know beforehand how much glue is required for the tiles in each area. We also use a laser to understand whether the walls are equally aligned from top to bottom. This method helps us to decide our starting point.
Yes, absolutely! We’ll look at the renovation design map to see all the other components that will be installed on the wall after tiling (i.e. cabinets, mirrors, lighting). This helps us allocate space for these components, and we typically add a small mark on the walls to avoid punching holes in the wrong spot!
It depends on the area and space. If it’s a bathroom renovation, we suggest having a feature wall with usually smaller tiles, stones, or mosaics. For luxury projects, consider sourcing your tiles from top-notch suppliers, such as Perini. If you’re looking for a ‘clean wall’ look, go for darker colours, as lighter tiles tend to make dirt stand out more.
We always use environmentally friendly tools. For example, we have different wet saws with connecting water pipes to reduce dust while cutting tiles or stones. This minimises contaminants that go into the environment.
We have consistently used the highest-quality materials available on the market. We will work with you to select materials that will be sustainable for the long term. For example, if your wall tiles are located outside, we always mix Efflock into our glue before installing, which will repel dampness and efflorescence. For larger areas and projects, we’ll install expansion joints instead of grout.
Leaks are highly common in bathrooms. As an added step in our waterproofing service, we always recommend using Epoxy grout for more assurance. The Epoxy grout is waterproof, so water can not pass through the grout joints. It also has very strong properties, and you will never see joint cracks with Epoxy.
